BIOGRAPHY
Cankat Dönmez
Designer Architect and Photographer based in Vienna Austria
Born in Turkey in 1995, he graduated from Bornova Anadolu Lisesi (Bornova Anatolian High School) in Izmir in 2013. Throughout those years, he took photography classes at the undergraduate level and participated in several national and international exhibitions and projects.
In 2014, he moved to Vienna to pursue a degree in architecture at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien). He completed his undergraduate studies (BSc) at TU Wien and subsequently started his Master's in Architecture (MSc, 2020 - present) in the same faculty. Some of his projects were selected for the yearly exhibition showcasing top projects. While studying, he worked as a travel photographer, embarking on more than 50 trips to various European cities.
Besides working as a freelance photographer, he took photos for magazines, websites, and brands. His photographs have been published both online and in the press. In 2019, he co-founded horizon360, a company specializing in architectural photography and 360-degree-visualization. Since 2018, he has been working as an architect and designer, specializing in interiors and design, as well as in the renovation field, in partnership with miaza design studio.
